Just received it, and loving it already! The bag is splendid, the leather thick, strong and the grain is perfect. I will use it as a backpack, which is how it looks the best (in my humble opinion). Large enough for a binder and 13in laptop and perfect for cycling in town. Only small downside: the weight. However that’s to be expected with such quality leather, so that’s forgiven. Love this bag – I routinely get compliments on it. It’s perfectly as a carry-laptop-to-work bag or if I’m going out and want to carry a few notebooks and a book. I bought it with this in mind and I’m happy with it for that purpose. However, I also tried this as a personal item carry on for a plane trip and the backpack straps are honestly just terribly uncomfortable, as is the rigid bag against your back for an hour or more at a time. It’s quite heavy and doesn’t lend itself to carry anything other than notebook shaped objects (doesn’t work well with a water bottle, lunch, or jacket). Due to the weight, especially with an added light laptop, the shoulder strap is also relatively uncomfortable for more than a few blocks of walking at a time. The biggest issue with the backpack straps is that they’re very short – I’m 5’11” and quite slim and it’s a struggle to get the bag on and off, and there’s no room to adjust how high the bag sits on your back. You’re also not going to fit anything in the center compartment other than a thin spiral notebook or notepad.
Despite how critical I am, this bag is great for the purpose it’s marketed for and what I bought it for. Leather is amazing quality, the buckles and such are wonderful, I love the minimalist design, and the color of the leather (which has lightened a lot from when I got it/what the pictures show) is great.

I recommend this item. I have been using this bag for several months for daily work, plus some domestic and international travel for business and vacation. This bag has been great for me and I have almost no complaints.
Check the specs for your needs. If you fit in various slim items the overall volume is good and I’m glad that I leaned towards what I first thought was a bit large bag, since I frequently seem to fill it up. The one critique I have is that the divider in the compartment pretty much cuts the space in half so that it does not have any really large compartment. Even the part that’s slightly bigger is barely wide enough for an apple or some lunch containers, so like me you may have to rethink how you pack non-office items like lunch/drinks/gym shoes for your daily commute. I saw that the comment about space was also made by reviewer “BB”, though I differ on other points. I’m a medium build, 6ft guy and do not think it weight of the bag is bad, and the backstraps are not so uncomfortable, though I really only use them when I have a day of air travel and want my hands free for my rollaboard. It’s a short bag so compared to a proper hiking backpack it does sit higher on your back, with shorter straps and narrower arm holes that make it less maneuverable. Also note that unlike some of your other bags, this does not have an outer pocket, and with the buckle opening it’s not something that is easy to quickly dig into especially if it’s under an airplane seat. So if you’re the kind of person that wants to often reach into a bag for things like earbuds or sunglasses you’ll probably want to keep them elsewhere like a jacket pocket.
The leather is great, thick and stiff; this stands up on its own like a portable workstation if you’re visiting another office. The shoulder strap a good length with plenty of adjustment. There’s a leather shoulder pad slotted on the strap that is not in the photos. So far the stitching and buckles remain in good shape. Of course, the bag looks great and its clean lines fit well in casual or business settings. I am very satisfied with the purchase of this bag and recommend it. Take a look at shipping options regarding costs/taxes because I found that it was more efficient to have it sent to a foreign location where I had travel plans.
